More About Alongside You Counseling
Frequently Asked Questions
Do You Accept My Insurance
The therapists at Alongside You Counseling are not in network with insurance. If you are interested in learning about your out of network benefits, contact your insurance company directly. The full rate will be due for each session at the time of service. Your therapist can provide you with a Superbill, which the insurance will require to utilize out of network benefits. Simply make the request to your therapist for the Superbill and that can be printed in the office for you.
What are the fees/rates?
Each therapist has their rate posted on their bio page, on the “About Us” page. A financial agreement will be provided in writing to you prior to your intake appointment, with the rate included in the agreement.
Good Faith Estimate Notice:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
How Long Will I Be In Therapy?
That is hard to make a general statement about. Each individual has their own goals and intentions for therapy. If you are going through a difficult transition in life and are looking for brief/solution focused support, it may be a few months. If you are looking to break patterns and heal emotional pain through self-exploration and trauma work, then you may choose to be with your therapist for a year or even years. With that being said, we see therapy as a waypoint on the healing and transformation journey. We hope when you conclude your time in therapy, you have a renewed sense of confidence and curiosity about yourself, and are excited to be in your ever-evolving journey through life.
